My best friend has been confined to a wheelchair since he was injured in a work-related accident in the 1990’s, so it really bothers me to see perfectly healthy individuals abusing the Disabled Person Parking spots. And we see this every day. Just because you know or are related to a Disabled Person it does not give you the right to use the Disabled Person placards or plates when the Disabled Person is not with you! Here is some information right out of the California Vehicle Code; the CA DMV Website; and the CA Business and Professions Code.
