I took a quick jaunt up to the mouth of the Kern which is at Camp 9 the other day, no way to fish it. Basically just a huge sandbar and the river is so low the flow is spread all out, it is not even making a channel. Usually if you can find the channel you can catch Trout up there this time of year, but it just is not happening due to the lack of inflow.
