Just before noon on Sunday, Kern County Sheriffs received a “suspicious circumstance” call and deputies were dispatched to 10909 Hand Court in Weldon.

When they arrived, a grisly discovery – a dead body – was discovered in the trunk of a car located at the Hand Ct. address.

“At this point, investigators have not determined if the body is male or female,” said Kern County Sheriff Sgt. Doug Jauck. “All we know is that it is an adult, but it's still early in the investigation.”

An unidentified adult male was taken into custody at the scene.

The Sun will post additional information as it becomes available.

" In this life one does not have to look for trouble or misfortune, it will find you. When a loved one's life is taken by another for all the wrong reasons and its always wrong to take a life except in self-defence, it leaves a void in those who are left behind forever.

Theres no closer, there isn't any understanding, as to why we as human beings look to murder one another.
Its a darkness of the heart when we take a life, and all to often the victim becomes blamed for their own deaths. "

" Thats Mr Knight Auntie ... I sorry for your family lossbut you missed the point. KBAK was there most of the day (you could tell by the sun's positioning and later darkness falling)with their camera fixed on the girls place. So ... in turn we are not supposed to feel sorry for you if we see the same camera fixed on your residence? Whatever animosity you have to this young lady you need to let it go. Forgive or it will eat you alive. "

" I watched the video clip of the KBAK reporter 'terrorizing' the young woman who was obviously traumatized by her boyfriend's death. She rolled into their tripod and will most likely be charged with some type of assault charge. The reporter and cameraman were wrong for bein there! I personally called the station to voice my displeasure to their kind of 'tabloid journalism' and you could clearly see the camera was there in two different spots throught a better part of the day. Shame on KBAK for provoking this woman into her action. "

I said that my fiance and I witnessed him talking to little girls at the bustop, please don't put words in my mouth, thanks. "

" I am not making a statement that all welfare recipients use meth, however, meth use by nature and its level of addictability often lead to poor life decisions. I have witnessed the downfall of people who have become addicted (the ease of which is not arguable), and the outcome was dreadful. Regardless, why NOT drug test them?? I am a goverment employee, paid by the goverment and accountable to random drug testing. Shouldn't welfare recipients be treated the same?? "

I suspect that this will plead down to reckless homicide or manslaughter...with some sort of added charges for trying to hide the kids death. Personally I hope they get him for the highest crime they can because regardless of intent; he never called for help! "

" I am sick and tired of all these scumbags in the valley! We need to clean up this place, there is way to many drugs and low life leech off the system do nothings. There was a time when small towns were nice places to retire, now it seems they are infested with meth and social trash. I make no implications of drug use regarding this case- simply making a general statement about the growing condition of our town. We need to random drug test welfare recipients- if you can afford to buy meth, you shouldn't be on gov assistance. "

The Californian has an article with his confession and while he may or may not have meant to kill this young man...this was not an accident. What's more is when he realized the kid was seriously hurt...Why didn't he call for help? Do CPR? Try and save him? If this was a fight that got out hand; then he should of righted the wrong! "
