Frankly I'm appaulled at the recent vote to increase the salary of kvhd's CEO, at a time when overtime is frowned upon , but necessary to attend to the patients. The respiratory mgr took an hourly  cut to be allowed to hire a new employee. The radiology mgr had to do the same. CNA's were removed from acute care. ER techs hours were cut , and are mandated to go home early or come in late when its slow , never mind the probability they will be needed back. I feel that management has no conscious. The CEO and CFO Chet Bettle should be taking a pay cut of 10% , then they could afford patient care. I'm positive that the debt to Cal Mortage must be eliminated, but not convinced that ER needs another overhaul , especially when it doesn't increase the available bed size. Why not fill the skilled nursing facility to capacity ? I know that management is talking closing the doors unless this bond is passed , but that would be a travisty for our community , get rid of the fat at the top for starters.   sunny
