Cell tower bad for property values

Published on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 10:18 PM PST

As a local business owner, I am writing to oppose the location of the proposed cell tower in a residential neighborhood in Kernville.  This tower should be located away from my business and away from residences.

Our customers come up here to escape from the noise and pollution of the big cities.   The do not want to pay good money to stay at our beautiful cottages nestled within range of electromagnetic radiation and radio frequency radiation.  We have not had a single customer complain about the functionality of their cell phones.  My business stands to suffer and my property value will decline if this tower is placed at the proposed location.

The Kern County Planning Department needs to deny the conditional use permit and the zone variance for this project.
