Jennifer Audrey (Jansen) Klase was born in Rupert, Idaho to Russell and Leann Jansen on March 15, 1978 and went to be with her Lord on Feb. 13, 2010. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, and an example of gentleness that all should be.
Jennifer met and fell in love with Guenter Klase and the two were married on Aug. 12, 2000. They lived in Exeter and Bakersfield prior to the birth of their daughter, Sierra, on March 27, 2003. They then purchased a home in Kernville, Calif., wanting to raise their little girl in the same wonderful area where they had grown up.
Guenter and Jennifer shared a passion for hunting and fishing and the general outdoors. Jennifer loved to recount memories of their outings; cat fishing parties, Sierra’s first trout at age 2, and standing so close to a mountain lion that you could count the whiskers on its nose were some of her favorite stories. Jennifer will always be remembered by the beautiful smile that constantly adorned her face.
Preceeded in death by her mother, Leann Scales, Jennifer leaves behind many relatives, husband Guenter Klase, daughter Sierra Klase, father Russell Jansen; brothers Jeremy Jansen and Waylon Scales; grandmother Audrey Jones, parents-in-love Lynn and Monika Klase, aunts Cheryl and Tracy, uncles Dale and Henry, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Jennifer has definitely left her footprints in the sand. Our loss hurts so fiercely and yet the joy is in knowing she that loved and obeyed God, was baptized and lived in the grace of Jesus, and now rests in the arms of the Heavenly Father. Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at South Fork Middle School, 5225 Kelso Valley Rd., Weldon, Calif.
