McQuiston seeking nominees to fill vacancies

First District Supervisor Jon McQuiston is looking for local area residents interested in serving Kern County as a member of various Boards and Commissions. “Volunteers can help make a real difference by providing input and a citizen’s perspective to improve the way government provides services to the public,” McQuiston said.

Currently there are vacancies on the following Boards and Commissions representing the 1st District: Adult Day Health Care Board; Affordable Housing Ad Hoc Task Force; Early Childhood Council Of Kern; Emergency Medical Care Advisory Board; Heritage Commission; Human Relations Commission; In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Advisory Committee; Treasury Oversight Committee; Water Resources Committee (Two positions); Wildlife Resources Commission (One at-large member).
