Lady Broncs run in early season Burroughs Invitational warm up

The Lady Broncs track squad started their season  at the Burroughs Invitational on March 4.

In the track events for the 100 Hurdles Ashley Diangelo finished for the Lady Broncs with a time of 21.41.  She placed third in junior varsity.  In the 4 x 100 relay Ashley Carothers, Emily Beckstead, Kayla Lawhon, and Leah Bishop teamed up and their finishing time was 58.81.

In the 1600 meter race Carla Morrison ran in a   time of 7:10.40, and Kayla Lawhon 7:46.34. Morrison was first for the jayvee and Lawhon took second.

In the 400 meter race Beckstead finished with 76.90, and Bishop 77.13. Beckstead took first place in the junior varsity and Bishop placed second.

For the 100 meter race Beckstead’s time was 13.47, Stephanie Lopez 14.00, Carothers 13.38.  Carothers finished in second overall, and Beckstead placed first in the junior varsity race.

In the 800 meter race Katelyn Wallace finished with a time of 3:04.48, Jean Choorat 3:54.03, Nattikan Choorat 3:55 and placing first in the jayvee race was  Wallace.

In the 300 Hurdles Jenna Criswell 57.86, Wallace 64.59. Criswell placed first in the junior varsity race and Wallace placed third.

In the 200 meter Bishop’s time was 32.79 and she placed fourth in the junior varsity race. Criswell came across the line in the 3200 meter race at 14:02.31, and Wallace finished close behind her at 14:13.

Criswell placed third overall, and Wallace placed fourth overall. In the 4 x 400 relay Lawhon, Lopez, Criswell, and Bishop ran as a team, finishing 5:30.85   and taking first place for the junior varsity race.

“I was very impressed with how our athletes competed against some very tough competition. Overall, this was a good start to our track season, and we can’t wait to get to the league dual meets. I was very happy with everyone’s performance,” said head coach Brian Christianson.
