" It is a sad fact that the corporate side of prop 13 has rarely occurred.
If you buy a house, it is revalued at the new higher price and you pay a new higher tax.
Most of the large corporate sales in California have gotten around that by having the seller keep the land in their name, lease it indefinitely and with the right to re-lease to the new buyer: which avoids paying higher property taxes.
Call your rep, Jean Fuller and ask her if she is going to do anything about it.

They are not alone.
Stop worrying about a few illegals who occasionally get some benefits, and lets make everyone who works pay their fair share of the tax burden.
The 50-60 million that couple should have paid makes up for thousands of illegals (and the rest of us) who earn squat per hour.

" I guess keeping up with current events is difficult for some. Right now for the first time immigrants are leaving in mass amounts because they can't find work. Newsweek, CNN, and USAtoday have all reported on this. People want to work the work is not there. I think its lousy of anyone to suggest that 15% unemployment rate in Kern County is a choice and that there a plenty of jobs out there but people are choosing not to do them. They had to pay into unemployment to get unemployment so they must not be that lazy. "

Like an employer would pass that tax break off to the employees they would find a way around it. CEO makes 10,000,000 in bonus and employees get fired. Prove to me a CEO is worth that much the President of the United States doesn't make that much and not small business this and that they would do the same. Prove me wrong!!!! "

Make it known that welfare recipients have 2 years left for these benefits and then give the jobs illegal aliens now do to the people who are on welfare. If they really need the money they will work.
