Edward passed away peacefully at the age of 90 in Bakersfield.

He was born in New Orleans, La., in 1931, and then moved to California and has resided in Kernville since 1982.

Edward is a decorated WWII veteran who served on the USS Leonard Wood in the South Pacific.


He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Gladys, and their daughter, Susan. Edward is survived by daughters Marie and Karen, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services are to be held Feb. 18, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kernville United Methodist Church.Services entrusted to Sierra Valley Mortuary.

    " Scotty was a good friend and neighbor to Aunt Beth and Uncle Primo. Scotty was full of mischief and surprises. We stopped by to see him in Kernville last spring, and we enjoyed his excellent, thought-provoking conversation. Our love to his family.
