    The Kern County Wool Growers Auxiliary is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a qualified Kern County student who wishes to pursue the study of agriculture or an agriculture related field.   • Parent orientation for incoming freshman Feb. 22
    On. Feb. 22 Kern Valley High School will be hosting an orientation for the parents and students of the incoming freshman class of 2010-11. The orientation will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building. Registration for next year will be discussed along with presentation of athletics, music, career technical education and the GATE program. Parents are urged to attend this informational evening to help students make a smooth transition from middle to high school. For more information call 760-379-2611.
