Registered sex offender compliance check
In our ongoing effort of community policing, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Kern Valley Substation conducted a Registered Sex Offender compliance check within the Kern River Valley. Of the 73 registered sex offenders living in the Kern River Valley, deputies randomly visited 49 residences. Deputies confirmed four of the registered sex offenders were out of compliance. Investigators will be filing criminal complaints on these subjects with the Kern County District Attorney’s Office. The Kern Valley Substation is continuously finding innovative ways to improve the quality of life for the residents and visitors in the Kern River Valley.
