The jayvee girl’s basketball team was busy traveling with three road games. They won two and lost one.
On Jan. 26 they went to Frazier Mountain, Jan. 28 they were in Bishop and on Friday they played in Cal City.

Hazard said, “The girls struggled in a gym that was as cold as ice! The Lady Broncs had several players foul out. The girl’s played hard but we got into foul trouble early and Frazier Mountain made a high percentage on their free throws,”
Ashley Hampton pulled down 18 rebounds along with her four points and two steals. Dorothy Thoman had 12 rebounds, six assists, two steals, three blocks and four points, Tori Barnum had eight rebounds, two steals, two assists and made five points.
Dolly Anzaldo had 14 points, three rebounds, one steal, two assists and one block, Leah Bishop had two steals, one assist, and one block, Amber Snyder had three rebounds, one steal and one assist, Savannah Duvall had two rebounds, one steal, one assist, two blocks, and Kayla Harris finished the game with nine points, two rebounds, and fours steals.
The game between the Lady Broncs and the Lady Bishop Broncos went back and forth, it was nail biter. The Lady Broncs were behind with a few minutes left, but went on a run and ended up pulling out the victory 35-34.
Harris finished the game with 14 points, four rebounds, two steals, two assists and three blocks, Duvall had three rebounds, four points and one block, Hampton had nine rebounds, one steal, two assists and one block.
Snyder had seven rebounds, one assist, Thoman had 12 rebounds, six steals, one assist, six points and one block, Burnum had seven rebounds, two steals, three assists, one block and made four points.
Bishop had one steal, Anzaldo had 11 rebounds, four steals, three assists and made seven points.
Hazard said, “The team played hard and pulled out the win.”
Finishing their week Kern Valley took the court on Jan. 29 and routed Cal City 47-15.
Thoman finished the game with ten rebounds, two steals, two assists and one block, Bishop had one rebound, one steal, one assist, and Barnum had nine rebounds, two steals and two assists. Anzaldo had six rebounds, five steals, four assists, one block and scored a massive 25 points for the Broncs, and Snyder had 11 rebounds, Harris had five steals, three assists and scored ten points. Hampton had 12 rebounds, three assists and made eight points, and Duvall had three rebounds, two points, and one steal.
With the three road games under their belt, the Lady Broncs moved to 4-1 in the High Desert League.
Kern Valley took on Rosamond in a rescheduled game on Monday.
