Funeral services for Aaron Dodd Bricker will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel 3312 Niles Street Bakersfield, CA 93306, on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Kern River Valley Cemetery in Wofford Heights, Calif.

Aaron grew up in the Long Beach area where he attended St. Pancratius Middle School, St. John Bosco High School and Cerritos College before transferring to California State University, Bakersfield where he earned his B.A. degree in Communications in 1996.

Aaron worked at ADT Security Services for over 12 years before partnering with long time friend Bill Holt and established Advanced Security in 2003. Aaron was well known and respected within the residential and business communities of the greater Kern County areas. Aaron’s passions included providing for his family, the outdoors, his cabin, boating at Lake Isabella, motorcycling, his many friends, and his willingness to help anyone in need. Aaron lived everyday to the fullest and will always be best known for his ever present smile and words of encouragement.


Aaron lost his life on June 27, 2009, during a tragic drowning accident at Lake Isabella, while doing the two things he loved most, spending time with his beautiful wife Lee and enjoying a day on the lake in their boat. Remembrances can be sent in care of Aaron Bricker to The Monastery of Christ in the Desert, Abiquiu, New Mexico, 87510.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Lee Bricker; son and daughter-in-law, Geoffrey and Alma Bricker; daughter, Talor Bricker; step-daughter, Callie Porter; step-son, Joshua Kline; step-daughter, Amber Kline; parents, Howard and Noreen Bricker; grandson, Derik Bricker; brother and sister-in-law, Andrew Bricker and Karen Savage; mother-in-law, Charlotte Tracy as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
