Senior care resources meeting at Odd Fellows July 29
Guest speaker Forest Hagood, Community Representative of Home Instead Senior Care, will be in Kernville July 29 to speak about various senior care resources. The publis is invited to this free event. The organization offers a multitude of aging adult care giver services, such as in-home care, Alzheimer’s care, Senior care resources, etc.
Who should attend? If you have situations occurring now and do not know how to approach the family member. If you are researching options in adult care and would just like information. If you are currently a caregiver for an aging adult and looking for affordable assistance.
At this gathering, Hagood will be expanding his company’s public-education campaign designed to help family caregivers bridge the communication gap when it comes to discussing sensitive subjects with senior family members.
The campaign is called the “40/70 Rule” which means that if you are 40, or your parents are 70, it’s time to start the conversation about some difficult topics.
The problems of aging often leave family caregivers speechless. Home Instead Senior Care is a network of locally owned franchise offices that was developed with a passionate desire to be your trusted in-home care agency, to help your family keep your aging mother, father, grandparents or friends in their home as they grow older.
The world will soon have over one hundred million individuals over the age of 65, and Home Instead Senior Care desires to help many of those individuals by providing non-medical based, home care services to those who desire it.
These senior home care services may include assistance with trips to the doctor, reminders to take the right medication at the right time, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, shopping and even Alzheimer’s and dementia care. The result is companionship allowing seniors to feel safe and independent while they age in place in the home they've lived in for years. Check their website at www.homeinstead.com.
