The 30th Annual Lake Isabella Christmas Parade is just 4 weeks away.

The Parade will take place the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 24th, along Lake Isabella Boulevard from Highway 155 south to Crestview Ave. The Parade will begin at 11:00 am. 看The judges and announcers stand will be located in front of the True Value parking lot. John Pair will be announcing the entries and providing Christmas music throughout the morning. 看看

Since this is the 30th Annual Christmas Parade the Parade Theme will be 'Memories of Christmas Past.' 看Mary Anne Cole and John (Butch) McNally III will be Grand Marshals in honor of their parents John and Pauline McNally who were the first Grand Marshals in 1978. 看Joan Bailey, the McNally’s second daughter will be unable to ride in the parade, as she is in Woody taking care of their mother, Pauline, who is now 95 years old. 看

Jeanette Rogers will be the Honorary Marshal for the Parade. Jeanette was honored as Kern County Woman of the Year in a ceremony held in Sacramento earlier this year.

There is no entry fee for the Parade. 看All you have to do is register at the Chamber office. For information call 379-5236. You can print out the Registration form on line at kernrivervalley.com

As many people know vandals damaged Santa’s Float. 看We are happy to report the Float has been fully repaired and is in excellent shape, ready for the Parade. 看Tim Binns, Gary Rubottom, Dave Boyd and Jay Currie completed the repairs. 看看Mike and Linda Thomas of Thomas Refuse supplied materials for the repairs.

Sharon Rooney is the Chairperson of the Parade this year. According to Rooney Santa knows who did the damage to the Float and you buggers are going to get coal in your stockings this year. 看And for the rest of you the big guy knows if you’ve been naughty or nice so be good for goodness sake.

Please get your entry forms in as soon as you can. 看The deadline for registering for the Parade is Tuesday November 13th. 看See you at the Parade! 看
